Today I picked a few strawberries and tasted them for the first time. Delicious!!
Only problem is... someone else (something else) is getting to them before me. Hmm... do birdies eat strawberries?
I would share photos but my BF has the camera on a 4 day hike right now :(

I know they used to love my tomatoes... they were all chewed out on the bottoms closest to the ground. ;)
The birds eat strawberries. When I was a kid, we had a strawberry patch and I remember there was this really large strawberry and I watched it everyday get more and more ripe. And then, when it was almost perfect, a magpie swooped down and gobbled that berry up. I don't even think he nibbled at it, just swallowed it whole. And I am sure he was mocking me with his beady little eyes the whole time. Just one more reason why this pretty bird is the devil's pet. :)
Yes, birds eat strawberries as do a bunch of other animals (raccoons, squirrels)... it's like they can smell the ripe ones from miles away!
now im hungry !!!! grrrrr i hate u
